Choose Your Worlds

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
– John 1:14 KJV

Choose your words. Choose your WORLDS.

As we exit a year that will to some of us probably feel like the worst year of our lives, it’s time to start thinking positive. As always, a new year signals a fresh start. No – the things we are experiencing right now won’t just vanish like a poof of wind. Time will still be the same length and anything we currently have in our minds or surroundings will still be there. But here is a nice idea you can latch on to that (while extremely powerful) is functionally simple to ignite change.

We can create a new thought or situation by what we say in the new year.

We can create a new thought or situation by what we say in the new year – creating a new physical world, mental world, and spiritual World. The concept is spiritual, but I guarantee this is not the first you have heard of it. You’ve heard people all over the world and all throughout your life say to “use your voice” or “speak out for change”. And you’ve also heard others tell you to “tune out haters” (which is to say, ignore negative speech). So the idea of creating a new thought or situation by just using your words shouldn’t seem odd.

What may seem odd is why I’ve chosen the verse above to compliment this thought. I must admit myself that it seemed like an odd correlation at first, but track with me.

We know that Jesus said “…greater works shall ye do” (John 14:12) when speaking to his disciples and that the Bible says several times, we have Christs’ Spirit in us (2 Cor. 13:5 as an example). In thinking about the “Word was made flesh”, the thought arises, “Do we have the power to speak things into actual physical manifestation as Jesus did?”

Depending on where your faith level is or how much you challenge your (spiritual) self to think outside of the box, the thought of speaking a life into existence is probably extreme. But if you even partly believe “greater works shall ye do”, then at the very least you can believe you’re able to speak positive change into existence. If you have BIG faith desires like “I want to see complete eradication of COVID-19 in 2021” then by all means, speak it! If you just have a little faith desire like “I want to see myself reading the bible at least once a week in 2021” then please speak that! And speak it OFTEN.

The level of faith that you have is not what’s important. What is important is that you HAVE FAITH and use the God given resources you have available. Remind yourself (and the devil) that God has not given you the spirit of fear. You have the right to speak life and power into the atmosphere. You are God’s child and your father will not leave you, he won’t forsake you, and he won’t leave his child fatherless.

Enter into 2021 not in fear and not in silence. Speak NOW or forever hold your peace, that 2021 will be your year and you will move forward in Christ with power and authority! And if you need a little help or push, start by speaking (aloud) this simple prayer, “Father help me to speak words of life and to use the gift of speech to empower the world. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done. In Jesus Name – Amen.”
